it went really well. we had a drink at a bar and just went back to my house. i gave her the grand tour and just sat on my couch with her talking and playing with each others hands. i like hands. the scene from the movie "great expectations" stands out to me where robert deniro says that hands are the windows to the soul. lots of people seem to think it's the eyes, but it's the hands.

i guess it doesn't sound like much of an eventful date. we had intentions of eating, but neither of us were hungry for food. instead we just spent time with each other getting to know one another.

she's going to work on getting a babysitter for monday, so she can come out to see thievery corporation with zac, aaron and I.

exciting. i think i can describe that as how it went.

Sometimes the best "dates" are the ones where you just chill and hang out with one another. I hope she's able to go with you guys on Monday.

So.. I love love a good read ehre and there!.. when I have the time to enjoy them. I just joined a site called goodreads.com. It's rather fun, it's a bit like an online book club that you can read books recommended by others and friends, write reviews and keep a list of those things you would like to read. Almost like livejournal but for bookreading.

i can identify with your "if i have time to enjoy them" feeling. the books i'm reading are part of my required reading for my american fiction II class. I'm going to really make an effort to continue reading after my class, but time is always a consideration. perhaps a book website will help me stay the course. :)
