I am not really sick.  I don't know what's wrong with me but I have this cough that has been going since late yesterday afternoon and won't stop.  It's a dry cough.  My throat is scratchy, but from coughing!  It feels fine otherwise!  I have no idea what is up.  I left the lab because:

You should go see the College Nurse. She will tell yourself to go and get yourself some Friar's Balsam. And you will be all WTF? And she will be all "Friar's Balsam." And you will get better in approximately one billion years. Just don't rub your eyes!

I'm not as freaked out about it as it sounds like you are, but when I have a bad cough and I'm somewhere like class, where I can't leave freely, I do try to stifle them so as not to potentially come off as annoying.

However, I can't blow my nose in front of people. Even though I know it's irrational it feels as inappropriate as audibly passing gas. This makes having a cold during the semester extremely sniffly and uncomfortable.
