Selling some stuff from my closet

Jul 08, 2011 09:03

I'm debating whether or not to let these two guys I work with sell some of the old toys I've got my closet for me on Craigslist (since I've never used it, and they seem to have pretty good luck with it, not to mention make some fairly nice ads as well). I've got a bunch of old Real Ghostbusters figures, for example, that I bought off of ebay in the late '90s, some old Trek stuff (like I can see the shuttlecraft Goddard still in its box from here), as well as some assorted other stuff, like an old proton pack and ghost trap from Real Ghostbusters, and most of the stuff for the Extreme Ghostbusters proton pack. I know this stuff is worth some money (heck, I looked up the Goddard on Amazon a few minutes ago, and someone is selling it for $43.99 there, and I know I had offers over ten years ago from someone who happened to see some of the pictures I had of the various Ghostbusters figures I'd on an old website of mine which no longer exists for them, because I had some of the rarest ones to find.

I really need to get rid of some of this stuff, much as I like having it (especially since half of it is still in the original packaging). But I don't know that they would necessarily get me a good price for it on Craigslist (since I doubt they have any idea what some of this stuff is worth). I don't expect to get the full value of it, but still, I'd like to a decent amount. I really need the closet space.

I also need to get off my butt and tape some of the stuff I've got on videotape over to DVD so I can get rid of that box as well. Things like my high school graduation...
