Finished the suicide mission. Ahhh Shepard’s speeches. They arent eloquent or special or full of bravado. They just strike a chord in you that makes you so moved and inspired you would go to hell and back for her. That’s what’s impressive about her speeches, not their flamboyancy or intricacy. Just their simple ability to connect with you on a personal level and make you want to break past your limits.
The suicide mission is fun, assigning tasks to certain people based on their skill. You really have to know your squad to pull everyone through. I always have this setup.

Samara- Biotic
Mordin: Return to the Normandy
Party: Garrus and Thane
I always worry, always freak out worrying that i made a mistake and someone didn’t pull through. But I’ve never lost anyone on a suicide mission before (though if he wasnt worth war assets later on i would space jacob.)
I always flip off the Illusive Man. Screw him. Screw Cerberus. Raine’s an Alliance soldier through and through.
I finished with full Paragon (as always) but I didnt even manage to fill one bar of renegade… i must have been really nice to everyone this runthrough…
That feeling of dread when you see all the reapers pull out of dark space. THAT is always terrifying.
And a satisfying cliffhanger once again better than the third game.
KARA REPLAYS THE MASS EFFECT SERIES: LOG 37
Started Mass Effect 3. Ive been actually seriously looking forward to replaying this game… I mean it really was a brilliant game. I actually think it was on par with the rest of the series, just not better than the rest of it even with its improvements. But still just as good.
I love the way Raine transfers over. I mean she’s always going to be just gorgeous to me. I’m so attatched to her I can’t bring myself to finish Senna’s playthrough because i keep goin back to Raine. It didn’t feel right romancing Kaidan with anyone else.
That first encounter with Kaidan on Earth. Had me hyperventillating. He’s just so… Nnghh. They are all awkward when they first meet again its so cute. You can tell he knows he’s guilty right off the bat. I like the little extra romanced dialogue in the opening also. Heheh heh.
Reinstated. Now that feels amazing. Every single goddamn time it feels awesome to be reinstated as commander. Shepard’s back, 100%.
Let’s fight this war.
KARA REPLAYS THE MASS EFFECT SERIES: LOG 38
Mars mission, I can seriously never appreciate enough how amazing it is to have Kaidan back on your squad. He’s still pretty much questioning your every move, but Jennifer Hale more than covers the annoyance you feel at that with the inflection in Shepard’s tone. His cute little laugh after you say he’s stubborn. Mh.
When Liara is explaining what she found in the archives to you and Kaidan starts a sentence and Shepard finishes it, they smile and stare at each other until theres like an explosion behind them. Good god it was so cute it hurt. ;3;
Charge. Nova. Charge. Nova. Charge. Nova. Such an effective combo. Gets boring though so, I tend to carry heavier weapons to keep things interesting by not being able to destroy everything in sight.
Combat is so fluid. Lsbalajka the combat in this game is such a breath of fresh air. The only thing that ticks me off is I cant exactly use a sniper rifle anymore without paying huge reparations with the recharge time. Rolling? Rolling you guys is the most useful thing ever. I kept trying to roll out of cover when I replayed 2, and was frustrated when I forgot that game didnt include it.
I still screamed bloody murder when Dr. Eva attacked Kaidan. I nailed her right between the eyes good like 7 or eight times before it cut to the cutscene. Kaidan… Kaidan baby.
You can see Shepard doesn’t want to leave his side in the Medbay. Only would have because it was Hackett calling. That little monologue she has in his hospital room. It breaks my heart to hear her say it. I just… Tears.

Shepard’s face when EDI says she forgets to recycle the oxygen in the Normandy is priceless. PRICELESS.
Palaven and getting Garrus back is always fun. I have a lot more experience fighting brutes so it went so much better than the first time. I actually found the Reaper heavy weapon this time too. A:DSFJADS that thing was useful. Team Shepard and Vakarian are back in action :D
Grissom Academy has to be one of my least favorite missions combat wise. My god the cover there is bullshit. They throw Cerberus at you from all four directions so that basically nullifies what little poorly placed cover there is. Jack has grown up so much since ME2. It makes her look almost immature in the second game. Its always so nice to see that, and see her grow up. Rodriguez annoys me however. I like her new look a lot too.
Kaidan dialouge in the hospital ;3; I like that he takes responsibility for Horizon. I like that he’s finally moving forward, but its not super rushed or out of character. They made the transition very seamless and Its just so cute when he puts his hand over hers and when he asks her if she’s flirting and adsfja;dfhadfh; Shenko. Why does he disappear for half the game though? why? how come Ash doesn’t and he does?
Sur Kesh! 1st All the Major Kirrahe love. All the salarian love. MORDIN. MORDIN GOD IM CRYING AGAIN. The banter between garrus and Liara here is amazing
Shepard: There goes the next Shadow Broker.
Garrus: Could’ve sworn he was muttering T’soni under his breath.
Liara: Not. Funny.
Wrex is such an amazing sonuvabitch XD His pressuring Shepard is hilarious.

“I was lost without you” plays during all the quiet moments in Shepard’s cabin on the Normandy. I just got Liara’s little info box scene and I’m not going to lie I teared up. That song just freaking DOES stuff to your emotions. It twists them up into a little tiny knot and then crushes them.
Liara is a great friend during this game. She’s supportive and doesn’t force herself on you. Both she and Garrus really come a long way throughout the series. Its lovely to see. She’s grown up a lot. Only 109 doesn’t look so bad on her anymore. :)
Mordin’s NEW SONG! Hahahaha Oh Eve its cute that she asked him to sing for her. God I love him. And his singing and testing and perfections…. I’m going cry my eyes out again after he’s gone…
Lol all the growling at the Wrex and Wreav confrontation. Its so cute I cant help but giggle.

Thane I will stab that son of a bitch right through the heart when I get the chance even though my Shepard doesn’t even have omni blade capabilities. I will do it for you, I will defy the classes so you can rest easy across the sea. So sad. Jennifer Hale I am always stunned by her performance. Her voice when she asked about that prayer… Do you hear that? that’s my heart shattering. I’m standing in life support currently. Yeah I just want to keep ripping my feelings to shreds.
When you drink too much at Purgatory, you end up on Aria’s couch. And Aria makes a raep face. …Yeah I’m pretty sure something happened there..
Kaidan’s BAAAACCKK <3 My space husband has made his return. Ngggghhhh. Its so adorable how preocupied he is with Udina’s death. Shepard had to put his mind and ease. ;3; Cause she’s one of the only people who caan.
In all seriousness its so good to hear that he can trust her again. Fully and completely. He realizes he’s got no reason to hold back and no reason to doubt her anymore. She’s exactly what he needs and he isn’t hiding from her anymore. He knows he loves her. Not the right time to say it yet, but he does.
Ah Shepard when she plays chess with Traynor is <3 “those pawns could have taken a frontal assault like that!” God I love my Shepard. So attatched XD

Its Citadel Date Time!
I literally collected like 7 of them and I’m doing them all at once. (kay that’s an exaggeration but still.)
First up is being a super rebel with Garrus! This was one of the best written scenes on the citadel in my opinion. I love casual Shepard, this is one of the scenes where she’s most real to me. And she and Garrus are super close, I like that they explore relationships with even the people you didn’t romance. Shepard and Varkarian have been a team throughout the whole thing and I think that the citadel adventure really proved how close the two of them had become. The bottle shooting contest is so perfect also. They always manage to make a situation interesting and competitve and fun and ease one another’s minds when they have too much weighing them down.
“Its a good thing we have you around Vakarian, in case the bottles revolt.” Best. Line.
Then It was a sad talk with Liara about Matriarch Benezia. I bet you little Liara was the cutest thing ever. I imagine she was “playing dig site” by blasting huge craters in the park with her biotics. :D Now if that’s not adorable what is?
SANITY. CHECK.
Does that scene make me blush every time? yes. yes. it does. I regret nothing. I think he decided that he loved her after his fiasco and confrontation with her on priority: citadel (2). It was just a matter of how he was going to tell her. And the way they both reach out to one another at the same time makes me adsfkja;fhd;ahk. Its the most natural thing in the world for the two of them to be together. But even more is that Shepard is open about her own personal feelings. If you stayed loyal to him, she’s basically been holding her own feelings back because she doesn’t want to pressure him. She didn’t even hug him or anything when he told her his dad was MIA. But she made it obvious she did care. They’re both hesitant to tell one another because they both respect one another’s space. They’re not flaunting they’re feelings and look my rant has come full circle to how much I love how subtle their relationship is. They tell each other they love one another when its absolutely necessary to solidify it. otherwise its obvious and a silent understanding that they do and don’t need to say it. It just makes the I love you mean so much more ;A; okay feels I’ll stop now. Steak sandwiches come before sexy time on the Normandy Shepard. You should know that <3
Miri I love you but please stop calling shep all over the place and then telling her you cant tell her why you called her there or even what youre doing. Just tell her shepard cares about youuuu.
Javik still manages to insult everyone on the Citadel while he’s sightseeing. <3 That hanar is my favorite though. OMFG ITS AN ENKINDLER ARE YOU AN ENKINDLER UWWOOOO AND ENKINDLER.
