Conundrum!

Ok guys, I need some advice about something, because I can't make any life-decisions without consulting my f-list.  XD

So my roommate Bekki has been driving nuts all semester.  I mean, we're kind-of friends, but she's a very annoying person and I'm always too nice to say anything about it when she annoys me.  For example, I never ask her to clean up ( Read more... )

I'd go with the first option. Also mentioning how Kristen is pretty much your best friend.

Just be nice about it. And don't ignore her completely afterwards. Not that you would, it's just that roommates who I thought were really good friends pretty much stopped speaking with me, and then after a month when I asked if I had done something wrong, they said no. But still never spoke to me. And that really through me off for a quarter. Maybe I was too dependent, I don't feel that way. But maybe this girl doesn't either.

Okay, that was depressing. LOL! Good luck!

Sometimes people are just clingy, but that doesn't mean that they won't be fine on their own. She can take it. I feel like a mama bird kicking a youngling out of the nest. XD

In that situation, I'd totally play the "it's not you, it's me" card for all it's worth.

If you tell her you would really like to live with Kristen, but you're unsure of how that would make her feel, she'll probably take it much better.
Make sure she knows that you aren't intending to upset her. Because, well, you aren't.

My housemate and I did a similar thing last year to our apartment group, when we blew them off to go live with our friends instead. It's a tough thing to do, even when moving out is what you really want, but it'll be harder the longer you put it off.

I think the deadline's coming up, so as long as Elizabeth gets her stuff together in time and actually does move out, it's a go no matter what.

I should really just give Bekki the heads-up, so she can see if she knows someone who might want to move in with her. And even if she doesn't find someone, she'll either get a new roommate assigned to her (which might not be a problem, because she's so quiet around new people), or she'll have a single and can be as messy as she wants. :P

And the thing with her is, she doesn't ever confront anyone about anything, so I don't think she'll get mad at me about it. I hope. XD

Hahaha, me and Kristen talked about just holding hands around the building and calling each other "baby" and whatnot. XD

It just means you're a nice person, Pan! There is nothing wrong with being a nice person. I think you're doing the right thing, trying to spare her feelings. Sometimes there are those people who annoy us to hell and back, that's all. We just have to live with it. Or not live with it, in your case. XD Sometimes people just don't fit together, and that's okay.

XD You should tell her the 3rd reason and see what she says!

I knooow, I'm always thinking about other people. The reason I really want to move is that it's something that will really make ME happy, and it's my last semester here, I deserve awesome living conditions! :D

Yeah #1 seems to be the popular choice, I'm just being really chicken about it.

Haha, at least you don't spell it in a weird way to be "unique" lolz. XD
