BTW here is my reaction post on second viewing.
Saw Star Wars again today!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!
First off Rey: I do like her, and it is so awesome to have a girl be the action hero - but. She is more than a bit of a Mary Sue. Seriously, is she some Companion who fell out of the Whoverse and landed in the GFFA? I could really stand for her to be a bit less perfect.
And speaking of less than perfect, FINN!!!! He is so totes adorbs! He is totally my favorite character, and I love him with the love of a thousand loves! At one point I was thinking he's like a chicken Han Solo, but he's not really. I adore him so much! And he's not bad with that saber! Could he be Jedi material too?
Also! His serial number? FN 2187 - that was Leia's cell number on the Death Star. Ha ha!
Kylo Ren? Has the prettiest hair ever. He's like a young Severus Snape who has discovered shampoo. And when he's trying to mind read Rey, did anyone else want to shout, "Legilimens!"
BB-8. Really, he is WAY too cute. I should resent him, but I can't resist the Cute Side of the Force.
This time in the audience when You Know What happened to You Know Who, one dear little fan just sobbed their precious heart out.
And the end? Yeah, baby. Oh yeah. SIGH😍😍😍
By the way, why in the world would Leia name her kid after the Old Man? Luke would do that, sure, but Leia?
Which prompts me to think of several explanations, more than one of which may be true.
1. At the end of ROTJ when Leia told Han, "It's not like that; he's my brother," it was already too late.
2. Han got lucky with a pair of twins.
3. Actually, why wouldn't she name him Ben? After all, her dad was the Old Man's long-time boyfriend! Woo-hoo! Bail/Obi: it's canon! I'm just saying! Search your feelings, you know it to be true!
