The health care system of the US is sick. For a country that spends so much on medical costs, one would think the population would be healthier, not sicker, than other developed countries. For all the medications and medical technology created here, one would think that it would be unthinkable for a citizen to lack access to primary care or basic ( Read more... )

I still have hope that the aging "boomer" population is going to be the tool which guts the current system. I don't think we've hit critical mass yet in that regard. I guess we'll see where things go in the coming years. I'm just glad that some degree of preventative medicine is starting to pick up in importance.
