And with that... done with my Medicine rotation! Only OB/GYN and Psych to go, and then I'll be off to fourth year. Almost literally, there's pretty much no break. But on a lighter note, I found this... don't know where it's originally from, but it's terribly appropriate:

"Congratulations on your choice to adopt a med student! Medical students

Your med student WILL critique any depiction of medicine in the media, depending on their level of knowledge. It is a common side effect of the education process, and can often be dealt with using a tap on the nose with a rolled-up TV guide.

Naturally the same applies to computers...it may even be worse. But my favorite example of this sort of thing came from an episode of Law & Order which had a garage door's behavior during a power outage portrayed incorrectly. After years of hearing me bitch about every scene with a computer in it, my father finally had his turn to complain.
