Update on kitty Cade

The vet called with the test results.  Cade tested positive for feline corona virus  which is, in and of itself, not particularly dangerous, but the symptoms that Cade has been showing are indicative of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), which is usually  fatal and there is no cure.

I'm sorry to say I have no experience with this sickness to give you any advice. But I have plenty of experience with loving cats and I'll be praying for your handsome little devil and for you!! *hugs*

I'm a veterinary technician and have seen this disease go either way. There is little any human can do to change the course of this aside of supportive care. The fact that he's still eating and drinking and doing his business in a normal fashion is very promising, so let's hope his natural defenses continue to push him through this. Much love.

Oh, poor wee Cade kitteh. :( I send him extra snuggles and love and hope his little immune system is as tough as his namesake. <3
