In memory of kitty Cade

First, I want to thank everyone for the kind comments after my last post about kitty Cade. All your thoughts and hugs were very much appreciated. <3

Unfortunately, Cade lost his battle with FIP on Feb. 16th. He fought it hard for a month and we loved him and cared for him just as hard, but FIP is a vicious disease and is unforgiving in young and ( Read more... )

Wow, Jan did one especially for you. She's so nice.

Sorry to hear about your cat. It's always hard to lose a loved one, human or not.

I'm so sorry about Cade. Losing a furry family member is very difficult. I do understand your grief all too well, having lost our beloved Diva in Feb. You wrote about Cade so beautifully.

*hugs*

Poor little Cade-let. :(

I've had to put two kitties to sleep (four if you count my sister's two as well), and it was seriously the hardest thing I've ever done, even though in all four cases the kitty was clearly past the point of no return and three of them were very old.

Poor Jariah, too. My Gabrielle wandered around aimlessly for two weeks after Pearl had to be put to sleep, and my sister's cats definitely mourned Simba and Destiny. I'm glad he's feeling a little bit better now. Hope the rest of you are too. *hugs*

This was a first for us - we've never had to put a pet down before. It was painful, but I'm SO grateful for the staff at the vet's office. Ironically, I deal with end of life situations with patients at work all the time - and am usually very calm about it - but I was a blubbering mess when it came to my cat. (I'm also SO not a nurse when it comes to my kids, so I guess it's similar.)

We're all doing better now and thank you so much for the hugs!!

Oh, Traci! *huge hugs*

I'm so sorry about your baby Cade. I can't even imagine how you're feeling. The pictures of him are just beautiful and I know the memories of him are even more so!
