VALENTINE'S DAY EXCHANGE GIFTS

Feb 16, 2014 02:50

Here's to this year's Valentine's Day. What are your thoughts on this? How did you guys celebrate it? Well I'm not going to talk about what I did on Valentine's. I am going to talk about what I did FOR Valentine's.

Of course I have a boyfriend, and having one is really great. Not because you receive gifts, but because there is someone to remind you that you are important, that you are loved, and that you are special. Last year, what I did for my baby is an "I LOVE YOU HERO" Board with Ferrero Chocolates glued on each character. Don't worry, it's definitely SAFE! Haha!

This year, I decided to make a more creative attempt to surprise my boyfriend. February is our 20th month so I thought it's a good time to tell him some reasons why I love him so much. Of course there are a lot of reasons, but I just narrowed it down to 52.

52 REASONS WHY I LOVE YOU

MATERIALS USED:

***1 deck of cards
***1 box for the cards
***Ribbon
***Washi Tapes (at least 2 pcs of 10 meter-rolls)

Here are some options to help you start your list:
*I love your smell
*I like your hair
*I like the way you look at me
*I love it when you compliment me
*How you take care of me
*How you say I Love You
*And how you say I'm Sorry
*I love the way you make me feel special
*The way you tell me how lucky you are to have me
*Most of all, I love that you love me more than anyone else.

I also sang a few covers for him. I chose songs with very meaningful lyrics. The ones that would actually express how I feel about him. You may listen to them on SOUNDCLOUD, but WARNING: LISTEN AT YOUR OWN RISK. I am a really REALLY frustrated singer you know.

SONG LIST:
*** When You Look Me In The Eyes (by Jonas Brothers)
*** Grow Old With You (by Adam Sandler)
*** Out Of My League (by Stephen Speaks)

Now, for his gifts. Actually, Valentine's Day did not turn out the way others would have expected. So much drama happened. Nevertheless, we still love each other so it doesn't really matter anymore (...or so I think).

I will now tell you why these are important to me. WAIT, before that, FORGIVE ME FOR THE SHITTY PHOTOS. I don't have Photoshop and I use PAINT to edit them. Huhuhu. OKAY, moving on.

The first one would be the tumbler. Ever since 2013, I kept on telling him I need and I want a new tumbler because what I have was already broken. I need a replacement ASAP, but since it wasn't a priority, I thought I would just buy one if I have extra money. Then by the end of January, this cutie tumbler was released as a part of Starbucks' Valentine Collection. When we were at the store, I asked him to order for us, then I went ahead to find a table. I was using my Ipad while waiting. I glanced back at him because it was taking him a long time to get our drinks. I noticed he went back to the displays and kept on checking the tumbler. I thought he was just looking at the price tag or something so I didn't mind. The next time I glanced back, I saw him on the counter again. I thought it was just a follow-up on our order but I saw him hand cash to the barista. Of course, it was obvious that he bought something. When he went to our table, I told him I would go to the washroom. When I walked across the store, I noticed that one tumbler was missing from the display and it confirmed my theory. To catch him, I borrowed his bag because I need to get something from my purse (which was inside his bag, duh), and he was like "Why? What do you need?". He made an effort to avoid me from getting his bag. LOL, after a few days, I told him this and that he totally failed his surprise. He said he was already speculating that I knew it all along. So yeah, we just laughed about it.

The next would be the chocolates. Whenever I am at their house and there are chocolates, we would share them. BUT, when he had Ferrero on their fridge, I totally ate almost the whole pack. HAHAHA! Since it's so expensive, I can't afford to buy one myself. Huhu I'm so poor. As for the Kisses, it is his favorite so I guess I'll just share it with him.

Lastly, the flowers. Even though we weren't as happy as other couples were on that day, I really appreciated him for always being there for me. Always holding on, no matter what. I immediately placed these flowers on a bucket of water to keep them alive and blooming for a few more days. This is so special because this was the FIRST, I repeat... FIRST set of flowers (as in real flowers) he gave ever since he started courting me. So I will definitely keep some of its petals and put them on my planner.

There. I hope you enjoyed reading! I also hope that you had a blast on Valentines!

CIAO!
