So who here watches Supernatural? I JUST started season one and I already think I like it. Jeffery Dean Morgan automatically makes any show better. I just hope I can watch without only seeing Dean from the Gilmore Girls. ;)

And Tyra (Adrianne Palicki) from Friday Night Lights is in the Supernatural pilot? Awesome.

I like Supernatural sometimes... I liked seasons 1 and 2, then season 3 was got boring and sexist so I didn't watch it, but I loved season 4... and I've watched season 5 up until it started getting boring and I got behind then commentary on the next few episodes seemed to point to the show getting more blatantly sexist again (FOR INSTANCE by killing off all the female recurring characters but none of the male ones... shit happens like that all the time on the show). SOOOOOOOooooo basically, I recommend the first season, because it is fairly awesome, and maybe I will dig up the meta that charts the progression of Sam and Dean's reconciliation because I think that pointed out to me JUST how awesome it was. But the show has LOTS AND LOTS of race and gender issues, and sometimes the awesome fails to make up for that. Which is sad, because I so badly want to loveLOVELOVE the show and can't do more than really like it at times

Well I'm going to keep an open mind about the show and see where it takes me - if it's the entire series or just a season or two - but I'm liking what I see so far. I think I needed a new show to start watching and then just be able to have on as background "music". (Does that make sense?)

Oh God, I was terrified to watch Caprica and put off watching the pilot until last night (and I almost didn't watch it then). I was totally surprised to like it as much as I did. And yeah, those BSG/real-life articles get on my nerves, but I think you take away from the show what you want. I mean, I never really watch BSG for the bigger world-issue discussion, but rather the personal interaction between different characters.

Give it a shot, and take what you will. :)

I do, I do! I just got into it a few weeks ago (I pretty much devoured the whole series in five days or so) and am currently beyond obsessed with it. While I liked the first season okay (very X-Files-y... and hellz yeah get ready to see lots and LOTS of familiar faces; hello Vancouver indeed) it really starts picking up in season two, particularly the finale - I think that's where I started to totally dig it. It just keeps getting better. Season four is amazing. And yes, wait until you get to Castiel.

Haven't watched Caprica yet... I'm too afraid ^^;;

SPN just gets better and better. There there's a (in my opinion) low point for the show (parts of season 4 annoy me to no end), and then whooosh, it's back up in the AWESOME again this season. Seriously, I started the show thinking it could not be anything other than CRAP and ended up with a new favorite show. Win/win.

Plus, if you looked up Jensen Ackles in the dictionary, his entry would read: The Sex.
