Initially upset over the allegations that rock and roll, among other music genres, has a negative effect on those who listen to it, I began a discussion on the topic with a few friends. If you believe "Music is a privilege", is emotion a privilege as well? What about self expression?

You always seem to pick up on the ideas I miss. The call to "adopt a more ethical position" is an important one that Leymarie uses. I don't know if I would go so far as to say anger and hatred "will destroy music all together" however. Anger and hatred have destroyed much in history: people, civilizations, religions. But I think "so long as humans possess emotions, they will instil them into their lives" through music. It will change, but it will never be destroyed all together.
