I thought this was interesting.

I made a post on July 18th about how many people use which browsers:

People use which browsers:
54% Internet Explorer
41% Firefox
2.6% Safari
1.7% Opera (lol Wii)

And half a year later (today):
44.8% Internet Explorer
45.5% Firefox
3% Safari
2.3% Opera
(and Google's Chrome is taking 3.9% of the market ( Read more... )

I wonder how w3schools takes cell phone browsing into account. I don't have one of those fancy phones, but I imagine they're not using Internet Explorer.

I think you can break out the iPhone browser if you really want to, but it's just a version of Safari. Odds are if you're doing coarse statistics, that's where it shows up.

W3schools is pretty much the worst source of market share information. Net Applications shows world-wide market share and is generally the standard the industry uses lately.
