Fee Brothers makes a mint bitters that's excellent for the odd quick julep.

I'm glad to see "crushed" ice. Cubed ice is just wrong for juleps.

agreed. cubes = not cold enough, not diluted enough

I'm not sure I gained much by doing both a hot syrup mint infusion AND an alcohol infusion, because the resulting julep still needed 3-4 leaves of fresh mint to taste right. It was fun to make though.
