I'm not a photographer but my dad is one and has been for a while, he isn't professional but he does projects for people and events like weddings and stuff like that, and he is an expert at photo editing, if i can i'll se if he can give you tips for photography

What do you photograph?

Either way, nothing wrong with a bit of color correction when you know that hte lighting isnt as optimal as you might like.
