Maybe Apple will come out with a software update that will solve both problems.

Supposedly they are, if the Internet is to be believed, and if it works!

Strange, I didn't have the restore/Facetime issue. At least I have the option in calls, but I haven't tried it yet.

What model did you restore from? I've been told that restoring from a 3G backup makes the FaceTime toggle switch inaccessible via phone settings.
