i'm writing another paper... this one has to be 15 pages long. so you can see why i'm updating my livejournal instead.

question about motivation
hypothetically of course :) imagine you are in a law class. the grading system is broken up as follows:

Class participation - 20 points
Paper and presentation - 20 pointsMidterm - 30 points

I know what I would do. Fuck it. For my Race & Ethnic Relations class, I had a rather tedious five page paper due, but didn't care one bit. That was my 'final exam' and I blew it off, not turning it in or even acknowledging it. I was shocked when I got a 3.5 (or 4.0, I can't remember) in the class. I guess my professor cared as little as I did.
