I applied to Earl's on Saturday. I actually had a quick interview on the spot. Nervous? A little. And by a little, I mean, a lot.
Later that day I went downtown to see Pirates with Spiro and Pam... but we arrived too late for a show with Display for Hard of Hearing, so we said fuck it and went back to their place and watched the first one on DVD. Arrrrrrrr.
We were supposed to see it a day or two later, but they never called. Then Spiro posted in his Xanga blog that they had seen it. Thanks for showing me how much you value my company, guys. Clearly it wasn't a big deal to me. Not like I took the time to drive downtown, or anything.
So I'm all pissed and emo about that. Arrrrrrr.
In other news, I have a job interview tomorrow, with an alarm company. "Security station monitor", or something. Which should be right up my alley, since I used to do tech support for phone lines, you know? All things considered, I'd no doubt feel more comfortable at a computer job like that. But being a bartender at a place like Earl's would probably be better for me... you know, socially. But whichever I get will be fine. Any port in a storm. Arrrrrrr.
Signed up for classes for this Fall today. I can only take 3 of my core classes. I have to pick another one for my "liberal arts" elective, or something. Hippie class, you know. Plus I'm taking them on the hill campus instead of the mall, which means two bus rides and a Skytrain ride, instead of just one bus ride... unless I move to Burnaby. Which I should frankly think about doing. I would have stayed in Surrey for classes, but I couldn't fit the ones I needed in. I haven't actually taken any classes at the hill campus, the main one, before. So it'll be uncharted waters for me. Arrrrrrr.
And I made Sergeant Major this week. Yay, me.
