Proverbs
11:9 With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape. 16:28 A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends. 20:19 A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man who talks too much.

Kinda contradictory if read literally, but I'll assume that because it's in the bible, "righteous" doesn't refer to the godless.

Also funny is how it's such a deep passage, but at the end it finishes so bluntly by saying "avoid a man who talks too much." ;D*

It isnt that people are blind. It is that they pay too much attention. It may cloud their vision so that they see what they want (usually bad things) but they see something. just the wrong things.
