Those fires are scary. People must be so crazy to start something like that.

You don't have an option to retain the old version? I did.

No. They did not give that to me. I wish I did.
And yes they are certainly crazy and sociopathic. One person died in Carlsbad, so far.

About El Jay's newest mess, friend of mine posted this -
To switch to the OLD STYLE: On the main LJ page: Top right corner in the blue menu bar, there's an empty square you can click on, between "Post to Blog" and the little magnifying glass search. If you click it you get a popup asking if you want to explore the new features or switch back to old.

I haven't tested this fix since I was lucky yo get that popup upon signing in, so I immediately chose to switch back to the old style.

Thanks for the information! I didn't have a square on FF, but I just clicked the empty space and now have the old style back. Yea!

Thank you. We're ok. Things are a bit better locally, finally, but it's still pretty bad most places in the county and they have not caught the arsonists.
