HAYASHIYA SHIZURU, CREATOR OF HAYATE X BLADE AND MASTER OF COMEDIC YURI, DID HARUKA/MICHIRU DOUJIN?! HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS?!
From what I know, there are at least two: Guidebook (mature) and Supernova. Both were done in collaboration with Mirage House (Makise Renko). (Apparently, Hayashiya-sensei chose "Jesus Drug" as her pen name. I don't know what to make of this XD.) If you want to read them, Lililicious is the place to go.
It goes without saying that both of the doujins are gorgeous and wildly hilarious. Haruka is a bit dense, Setsuna is rather more shrewd, and both are long-suffering "straight women"/tsukkomi to Michiru's over-the-top, nonsensical, sex-maniac "wise silly gal"/boke. While having two tsukkomi to one boke seems a bit much, if you know Hayashiya-sensei's works, you know the sane characters need as much help as they can get. Ooh, ooh, also: it's great fun seeing Michiru top the hell out of Haruka.
In other yuri-related news, ARIYOSHI KYOUKO DID GL, AND IKEDA RIYOKO DID EVEN MORE GL. Ariyoshi Kyouko's Applause is so unbelievably gorgeous, and Ikeda Riyoko's are (visually) nothing to scoff at either. Since both are '70s shoujo/josei GL, one should go into them expecting great melodrama and tragedy, and not so much happy endings.
AAAAAAH WAIT A MINUTE, TAKAGUCHI SATOSUMI DID A GL? (Or at least a Les Yay-riffic manga about girl gangs.) This is the craziest evening ever! And I'm so not getting any work done!
P.S. That's it, I totally need to get my rec lists in order and post them. If only because I have to rec the living crap out of Hayate x Blade and Strawberry Shake (Sweet).
