Pink Pirates Ahoy!

Apr 05, 2009 21:25

We're getting down to the knitty-gritty on Costume Con 27.

In a spirit (alcohol-free spirit on my part, but we are not required to remain that way) of cooperation, I suggest the "Pink Pirate Posse" meet-up at Passionately Pink for the Cure in the Con Suite--since we will, by definition, (Wear something Pink!). Another synchronicity for me is that ( Read more... )

I have some dresses with pink in them, so I should be set. I think I will be involved with panels Saturday (though I don't know when?)...

I'm going on the list posted on the CC 27 website, which schedules both days, 2-3 PM.

Sponsored/Promotional Parties:
Friday 4PM to 8PM: CC28/Milwaukee in 2010
Saturday 9AM to 11AM: Breakfast with CC29
Saturday 2PM to 3PM: Passionately Pink
Saturday 4PM: Hair Spray Party
Saturday 10PM* to Midnight: Reno Worldcon in 2011
Sunday 2PM to 3PM: Passionately Pink
Sunday 10PM* to 1AM: CC30/Pittsburgh
* - starts after the end of the Masquerade or at 10PM

And of course, I cannot help but notice that IF your pink pirate is tack--*ahem* Balmer *ahem*--enough, you could just segue from Passionately Pink to Hair Spray on Saturday. Do I know any pirates with a pink beehive?

Just sayin' ;-)

yup, you're right! sorry, I only saw it listed on the Saturday one. Good point about the Hair Spray Party afterwards (which will be in Ridgely, not Con Suite)

...on a dessert island in Georgetown, with only hungry savages for company...sail bravely on, my comrades, and raise a glass of pink grog for me.

Deserted on a dessert island--How desolate! My good drinkin' buddies Merriam and Webster say :Main Entry: des·sert
Pronunciation: \di-ˈzərt\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French, from desservir to clear the table

And we wish you a fine, fine table-clearin' weekend. We'll raise a glass for ye, for sure!
