Can't work in the yard today. Gonna do absolutely nuttin and enjoy it. So there. Mnyeh

Almost one, actually. Gonna do some things for the household and remember to do some for the me.
1. Household - Mop up area in garage where water/rust flowed from old water heater. Had to replace that Friday.
2. Household - Check master bathroom to make sure repair is still dry where I adjusted the wall-to-tank connection to stop the dripping.

Did get some important stuff done though. And today, I cleared the front yard of leaves and holiday decorations. Moved my and my neighbor's leaves to the compost  in the backyard. Sifted enough new dirt to fill a 10gal bucket, and spread that in the front bed (that I'm trying to enrich and level with the yard). It doesn't show to anyone but me, but ( Read more... )

Just off work . Thinking I'm hungry. Expecting kids and ex back from Disney tomorrow. Will be making the best of having the house to myself one last day, ie: working in the garage and yard without feeling like I'm neglecting the kiddos. May even settle in with the smithing once it gets too dark to play outside.

Finally made some room to move around. Then got the great idea to build a work bench to take up the space. Struck middle knuckle of my index finger while nailing the table together. Still a little sore. Been moving compost to the front yard 'flower bed' for the last few days. Need to put away laundry, but am going to see what other outdoor project ( Read more... )

Screw the to do list, I'm taking a nap til the kids get home. Yea, me!

Yesterday/last night was blown out of the water by a trip to Walgreens for some pyrethrin shampoo...and all the time consuming activities that accompany such a purchase. Nothing else got done. Today shall be named "Catch Up Day"
