PROLOGUE
And here I thought I already figured it all…
I said to myself that after I get my degree, I’ll work hard.
Hard enough to give my eomma and me an easy life,
A life where we will not worry about where to get food and a decent roof…
A life where we will no longer need to live through others pity…
I dreamed of saving some money to buy her a house.
To furnish her kitchen with beautiful china wares…
And if I’m stable enough, maybe I’ll try to find a woman of my own.
Woe her, marry her and later on, we’ll fill the house with our children’s laughter.
And when were graying and old, I would like to spend it with her in a house near a beach.
I would like to end our day staring at the sunset while walking hand in hand on the shore.
And if by the will of God I die first, let my ashes be one of the sea
So even without my body, I could travel around the world along with those crashing waves…
Let my wandering soul see wonderful places that no one could ever imagine of….
And that’s how I planned my little life.
The life that I am now turning my back off…
Keeping my little saved up money, I prayed to God to let this be enough.
Enough to let me live through my own journey,
Away from home,
Away from eomma,
Away from people I used to love.
From now on, I am
On my own…
