A/N: It’s been a while, a very good thing happened today and I found myself writing again. ^_^
CHAPTER 2
Hyukjae or Eunhyuk is a very funny person.
Though we met on a ‘wrong foot’ but it did not hinder us from being friends.
He helped me find the address on my note, but sadly, the person that I’ve been looking for moved out a long time ago.
With a few won in my hands, I’ve decided to accept Eunhyuk’s offer to stay at his place.
Later on, I found out that his uncle run a bookstore. He recommended me to be a ‘bystander’ of the store.
Ajusshi said that I do not need to talk, I just have to stand and observe people coming in and out of the establishment. That way, cases of stealing will be lessen in the bookstore.
Because of this, I felt relieved that somehow, I was able to look for a house and a work on my own.
A month has passed, and I’ve already received my first hard earned money.
Happy with the thought that I did make money through my efforts, but I also felt sad that eomma wasn’t there.
That very night, I ate Chinese noodles while wiping my tears.
I reminisce those days were eomma was there for me,
Cooking food for me,
Taking care of me,
Eating the little food we had together.
And then I thought if she is doing fine,
If she is eating on the right time,
If she is mad at me leaving the house without her consent.
I’ve realized how selfish I was…
For leaving the only person that truly cared for me.
For leaving behind the only person who accepted and took me in her care for what I am.
That night, I couldn’t sleep.
All I could ever think of is a sleepless mother waiting for her child to come back home.
