CHAPTER 4
These days, I kept on thinking of going back home.
I’m giving up.
I’m… Gah! How was I supposed to find a person that never wants to be found?!
But what holds me back is the fact that I couldn’t afford to buy myself a ticket back home.
And with that, I thought of skipping meals to help myself save money faster.
One day, as I was working in the bookstore, I saw Eunkyuk coming in.
Weird, but he never dropped by when he is on duty.
By the look on his face, anyone could tell that he is troubled.
And so I asked what his problem is.
But what I did get in return is a confusing question.
“Do you know by any other chance a guy named Kwon So Hoon?”
“Huh?! No. Why? Who is he?”
“Nothing. Ah- I’m just, no don’t mind me… Just, I’m sorry if I disturbed you, I’m going back!”
“Eun- wait! Hey there! Come back here!”
But Eunhyuk never came back.
To say that I was a bit puzzled is an understatement.
I began to worry about him.
It’s my first time seeing him acting this way.
And when I got back, a suit is already waiting for me.
“Why?” I asked.
And I heard him say, “Just please come with me…”
Without a word, I changed clothes.
We rode in a taxi.
I began to worry again…
Eunhyuk never rode taxis. He always said it’s impractical.
But now… Why?
And so we came to our destination.
It’s a big building. A church may be. I mean, what’s with the big cross outside?
I felt my heart raced with every step we make.
Walking inside, I could feel the curious stares other people throw at us.
I also saw that one holding a cup of coffee accidentally slipped the drink out of his hands as he saw us passing by.
Eunhyuk kept a firm grip on my wrist as he walk swiftly on the hallway.
As we reached a glass door, he gently pushed it open.
And when we both entered, BOOM!
A-am I staring on my f-face?!
