I have an Amazon gift certificate! But no idea what I should get. It's been so long since I've had the option to read anything simply for enjoyment, I haven't the foggiest about good fiction. Any suggestions from out there?

Today, I stayed an extra 2.5 hours at work, took two overflowing hampers to the laundromat, went grocery shopping, baked a pie, and made eggnog for about eleventeen people. (This is why the rum is always gone.)

And yes, I just took the damn pie out of the oven at 2am.

I think I'm broken.

My last final ended at around 3pm yesterday. Since then, I've washed my walls, patched the umpteen nail holes (I pulled seventeen nails from a 7x12 room, and there were even more holes from previous nails), caulked around the window, door, and baseboards, baked cookies, started a newsletter, caught up on half a season of old Doctor Who episodes, ( Read more... )

Window has been replaced. Stereo still missing, dash still broken, silence still odd. Also, I think they may have tried to steal the damn car as well, since the bit under the steering column had been removed and it's entirely separate from the bits around the stereo ( Read more... )

Goddammit, it's like Itunes knows exactly which CDs got stolen out of my car.

Yeah, they DID take about half my CDs...it looked like my visor sleeve was still there, but they'd ripped it off the bands that held it up so it looked like it was still there.
