Stuffing my face with an expensive chirashi bowl from Naomi next door. Part of me really wanted it. The other part bought it out of an eagerness to help this business succeed. Why are Americans so picky about ambiance? I don't think this place is going to make it for that reason alone.

All that being said, I sure can eat a lot of sushi rice! 

Met this adorable couple from Singapore on the ferry back to Seattle from Bainbridge. They had bought used bikes in Utah and biked aaall the way to Washington State, averaging 40-50 miles a day. Turns out the guy is originally from the Philippines.  He had a mixed accent, similar to my co-worker Radiel.
