I have no idea why I wrote this down ....

M: you’re like a scab
W: excuse me ?
M: like a scab....well, no ....a mosquito bite more accurately. You are a lot like a mosquito bite.
W: are you saying I’m annoying?
M: no , I’m using a metaphore
W: you’re using a simile
M: what ?
W: a comparison using like or as
M: that’s besides the point
W: I thought it was the entire point. I am like a mosquito bite. Wasn’t that your point?
M: someone gets bit, even if they don’t want to be.
W: nobody wants to be bit by a mosquito
M: I know, but it sounds better if I put it that way
W: why ?
M: because if I make it sound like noone wants to be bit then the metaphore doesn’t work as well.
W: maybe you should pick something besides a mosquito to compare me to then
M: I’m not comparing you to the mosquito, I’m comparing you to the bite
W: why?
M: because after this someone gets bit they have this intense itch that just needs to be scratched.
W: so now you’re talking about sex ?
M: No. Well, yes but no. Just listion. So you scratch it and for awhile you’re fine, but then you find that you need to scratch it more and more frequently, all the time until eventually you just want the itching to end so badly that you turn the bite into a sore, that scabs over and grows disgusting dead skin all around it.
W: I’m like an STD now ?
M: no, you’re like an obsession.
W: oh.
M: so you’ve got all this dead skin hanging off of you, it’s a part of you even tho you don’t want it to be and so you think, I’ll just rip the dead skin off, no more mosquito bit, no more scab, no more dead skin, just a gaping hole where it all used to be, that hurts like hell until you find your own way to heal it, independent of the bite.
W: you’re breaking up with me.
M:yeah
W:I thought maybe you were in love with me
M: I’m obsessed with you.
W: how can you be obsessed and not in love?
M: nobody loves a mosquito bite.
