Three words: Best. Week. Ever.
I went up to Queensland with a couple of friends, and my god, it was amazing. It was exciting because it's the first holiday I've ever been on with my friends instead of my family (other than schoolies, and that doesn't count because everyone does that), and we got ourselves to the airport, into another state, to the place we stayed at, and back again, all by ourselves.
And we had an awesome time. We didn't really do much, when I think about it. We went to the beach a bit, we swam in the pool a lot, we went shopping, we bummed and watched a fair few movies...
And we went to the theme parks. Oh. My. God. They were so much fun. We spent one day at Wet 'n' Wild, and one at Movie World and they were probably the best part of the trip. I've been before but I was about six so I don't remember too much about them. This time, I was just loving it. We went on practically all the rides, including the super scary ones at Movie World, and even though I was freaking out, I still loved it. I got to hug Tweety, and I took photos of my friends with the superheros and with cat woman, and we waved at all the other characters who were wandering around. Plus I got an awesome tweety fan for 3 bucks, which I love. We were exhausted after the second day, but it was so worth it.
And I had a birthday up there. I feel old now. I'm going to be twenty in a year! Pretty much all my friends were already 19 though, so I'm just joining in. I had a pretty good birthday. We went to the beach, we watched Ocean's 11 and then we went out to Jupiter's Casino and had dinner and played pokies. I've never played before, and it took awhile to figure out how it worked, but when we did it was fun. I won a couple of dollars. And then put them straight back in. Haha. I can see how people get addicted.
I missed my internet though. There were computers at the shopping mall near us, and we used them a fair bit, but I couldn't really be on lj. My friends don't even know I have one. So it was just facebook and uni stuff, trying to sort out my timetable for this semester. That's pretty pathetic though, right? Missing lj when I'm on holiday with my friends in Queensland?
I go back to uni tomorrow. I can't believe I'm in second year. And I can't believe I'm going to have to get up at like 6.30 tomorrow. This is going to kill me.
