17 18 Extra 2. Soccer.
Sho had felt so happy.
For once, the weather had been nice that day. His ankle had healed and he was back at the pitch for another practice game. He had managed to get both Yuichi and Akanishi in his team (the first made him happy because they played well together and the second because this way Akanishi wouldn't have any reason to tackle him). And best of all, he had managed to gather enough courage to ask his four friends to wait for him so that they could spend some time together after practice. Now they were sitting on the grassy mound next to the pitch, cheering him on.
He had felt so happy.
But right now he could have done with little less cheering.
"GO SHO!" Aiba yelled from the top of his lungs and waved at Sho as he ran past them, making Nino laugh hysterically. "GO GET 'EM!"
Sho wanted to bury his face in his hands. Digging a hole in the ground and hiding there was also starting to sound very tempting.
"You have a fan club now?" Yuichi laughed at him as he jogged past.
"This," Sho thought, "is really embarrassing."
Then Nino joined Aiba, probably after seeing how embarrassed it made Sho. "YAY, SHO, YAYY!" he yelled, his voice getting high-pitched. It carried very well.
Sho could feel himself blushing gloriously.
"Why do I like him again?" he muttered to himself and ran after the ball as fast as he could. At least if he was sweaty and out of breath he wouldn't have to explain his red face to anyone.
Next time he got close to where his friends were sitting, Ohno had ripped two pages out of his newest sketchbook and painted "SAKURAI SHO" on them with bright red letters. He was holding "SHO" while Jun was waving "SAKURAI" around excitedly.
"I hate you guys," Sho told them before running after the ball again.
