i need a sewing machine! i have been stashing old pairs of pants for years now and have only gotten around to making one pair into a skirt. i even have another pair cut and pinned, but no sewing machine at my disposal. frustrating!

oh my goodness, they're so inexpensive now that there's no reason not to have one! i think you should save up like $50 a month toward it and just get a cheap one from walmart!

recently i have been really bad about rehabbing old clothes, though because it's so time-time consuming to rip the seams and all. you've inspired me to do something new with something old today!

I wish I had a sewing room. Unfortunately, my boyfriend won the bet about what to use our spare bedroom for so now I have a weight room.

And I think that picture is cute. I love all the different colors you use in your decorating.

that's funny - brian (husband) and i finally decided that the only fair thing would be to get a three BR so that we can both have our own space, but prior to that (in our old 1 BR apt), my sewing machine sat on a closet shelf for almost always.

thanks for the compliment - i thought if there's one place that can look really crazy and kitschy it's a sewing room, so i just put up everything i love, no matter what color it was!

Yes, of course I pick on the random part of your post to comment on, haha! I have no sewing ability but I am intrigued by people who do! My grandmother tried to teach me to sew a quilt when I was young. I wish I had the patience for it then...

i wish i could quilt! my grandmother and aunt both are great quilters (my grandma did all of hers by hand OMG!). i think if i ever get a BFP i am going to try my first quilt for the little one.
