hey y'all.

you may remember the dilemma i was having with the collaged faux leather effect.  thanks for all of your input.  i actually ended up combining the two, per suggestion by starbreaker85  to use a variety of differing width pieces that were all the same length.  it came out pretty well, though there are definately flaws (explained under the cut).  here's

pretty tastic! You should see the first purse I tried making. It'd make you guffaw like crazy.

:) i've made some pretty terrible purses. i used to NEVER use patterns, so all of my attempts looked like shite with unfinished hems/edges and such.now that i've used patterns i have much better idea of how things should fit together.

i didn't even know you sewed!

I don't really sew, haha. That's apparent from my tries. I just crochet... poorly at that!

i don't know if i like the design as much as i like how finished it looks. it's one of the first times i've made something without a pattern that came out looking professional.
