Why are boys easier to be friends with now?

When I was little, I froze around boys.  Boys weren't like me.  I couldn't be friends with a boy.  Boys were different and scary.  It was much easier to talk to other girls.

Now boys are the only ones I can talk to.  Well, that's not true.  A lot of my older good friends are girls, but as far as making new friends, I can only seem to talk to boys
