Sherlock's Angels
Notes: cutebutpsycho99 asked for a Charlie's Angels version of Irene, Mary, and Mrs. Hudson, with Watson as Bosley/Boswell. I obliged with a small fill that is currently expanding. Other parts will be added on later.
Mrs. Hudson came in late with a tray of fresh biscuits and jam. Watson, leaning against the wall, smiled at her as she set the tray on the table and joined Mary and Irene on the couch.
"Everyone ready then?" he said, crossing the room to the gramophone and set it to play the recording that he had personally carried to the office there at Baker Street.
From the gramophone came the sound of displaced static for several seconds, then, in a well-known voice:
"Good morning, angels."
"Good morning, Sherlock!" chorused the three women. Irene smiled widely at this daily tradition that never ceased to amuse her.
"There is much to discuss about the latest case in which your combined talents are required. I suggest that you all help yourself to whatever Mrs. Hudson has prepared. Biscuits, I suspect, to accompany the jams she no doubt purchased in light of the recent fruit product sales."
Irene declined the blackberry jam but accepted a buttered biscuit from Mrs. Hudson.
"A chemist named Reordan has recently been identified as being in the employ of our old friend, James Moriarty. I have gathered enough information to deduce that the scientific experiments he is developing for the professor are aimed at accomplishing a particularly dastardly deed..."
Mary smiled flirtatiously at Watson as he spread a generous helping of jam into the fold of a half sliced biscuit.
"Miss Morstan, I'm sure that you would be listening most attentively right now rather than making eyes at my Watson (again.)"
Mrs. Hudson pretended not to hear Irene laughing at Sherlock's characteristic display of near-psychic power. Watson sighed as he adjust the gramophone to skip over the next forty seconds of the record and the subsequent lecture on the policy of no inter-collegiate relationships that he knew would be there.
The recording continued with:
"And Watson, do stop skipping over parts of the record. Every thing that I say is of utmost importance to the success of the case. Regarding Reordan's daily schedule, he tends to frequent the Pussycat Bar on Wednesday and Thursday nights..."
