ATTENTION LAKELAND/TAMPA PEOPLE!!!!!

its my pa's bday tomorrow and my sis and i want to take him canoeing or hiking or something...but the only nature place we know of is bok towers. does anyone know somewhere that is pretty and neat and open right now? just let me know...thanks :)

yay, what a good birthday!! i just went hiking at gator creek preserve here in lakeland a few weeks ago...it was nice, very peaceful, and i went on a thursday so it was very uncrowded [which was nice] also, the trails at tenoroc wildlife management area in lakeland are like 90% reopen after the hurricanes, although i don't remember if the area is open on thursdays...maybe just friday - sunday. i can look it up in a newspaper article i have somewhere if you want.

as far as canoeing goes, you could go to lake kissimmee state park, hillsborough river state park, blue springs [where they probably have some manatees this time of year], or rainbow springs...i've been to all of them, and they're all a good time!

aw...that was pitiful jameson. capital P even. did anyone ever tell you that you remind them of typhoid mary? the resemblance is uncanny.
