I've become obsessed with Tintin since the movie The Adventures of Tintin came out. I also really liked Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and The Hunger Games

Aw, thanks! *hugs stuffed toy basilisk* Here's a cute Snowy beanie baby! *hands toy Snowy over to Persephone*
I loved almost all the movies leading up to Avengers. (I passed on Hulk.) I was planning to do my own marathon by renting the movies from Netflix, but my account froze up and those poopy heads never fixed it. I think I'll just cancel my account.
By the way, do you go over to smallfandomfest? They're running a prompt challenge, one of the fandoms that's represented is Tintin. They have a list of fandoms that are too big (including Harry Potter), but Avengers isn't on that list. Iron Man is, but Captain America and Thor are not.
Spiderman is coming out on July 3rd, this fits with our habit of finding an action movie to go to on July 4rth. Of course, this depends on if I'm off on the 4rth or not. I've been working in a movie theater and there are NO days off.
Blech. Netflix has actually been pretty responsive for us. I enjoyed the lead-up movies too, although I wind up cringing whenever Justin Hammer is on screen, which makes Iron Man 2 a bit awkward. And obviously Thor was somewhat inspiring. (As was coming across a Norse mythology fan when it rekindled interest in some of the source material. Khilari is fun.)
...I have not been aware of that community. Thanks for the pointer! I didn't actually see Tintin, but some of my fandoms do qualify. I'll go check it out.
I think you'd like Tintin, the Belgian Boy Scout who travels the world investigating mysteries, standing up to bullies and stealing every mechanical form of transportation in the known world. (Most of these do NOT survive the encounter.)
The original graphic novels, by Herge, are a lot of fun and the movie is, too!
HI Jels! So good chatting with you again last night.
Movies: I want to see the new Batman..have really enjoyed this trilogy so far. I also want to see Men in Black 3. Can anyone say 90's convention? LOL!
Otherwise I can't think of anything right now that's coming out that I want to see. Hopefully I'll see some more interesting previews as the summer goes along. Because honestly I love to go to the movies.
I saw Men in Black 3 a few days ago. It was EXCELLENT! I liked it better than the second movie. They did an excellent job of creating a movie that was both a sequel and a prequel. (Yeah, time travel is confusing that way.)
Josh Brolin was brilliant as the young Agent K. Wow, if I hadn't known in advance that Agent K was played by two actors, I would never have realized it.

I thought Avengers was fun. Did you see/enjoy the assorted lead-up movies?
Brave is coming out on our 10th anniversary, so, sounds like a date night. *g*
Edited for typing problems.
