Comments, concrit, and other forms of feedback welcome. :)

Second Chance functions a bit differently during the larger seasons, but I've included just the miniseason definition here. Likewise I've left a couple other terms that aren't relative to the miniseasons out, so as to conserve space and not take up too much reading time. :)

So, what page of Merriam-Webster can I find this on? I love 'Unofficial Everyone-Panics time'.

I think it was in the Appendix -- page lji, if I remember correctly. :)

Thanks! :)

This is just great. A terrific source for newbies/n00bs. I wish I had had a copy of this when I was just starting out. I had to learn by osmosis over the past few seasons!

Thanks! I hope it helps some of them; I tried to hit anything I remembered coming up in the GRs, and asked my betas to suggest any terms I'd missed. :)

(P.S. When in doubt, use "newbies". :) "N00bs" is insulting, so sometimes people will get upset, though honestly I've seen it used playfully between friends more often than anything else. My brothers will do that mock-insult thing and use "n00b" and sort of bump chests and make all of us laugh at them being silly. :) )

Thanks for that clarification. I am not techie-savvy and with all the entries for 1337, I thought n00b might be coming back in. I sure wouldn't want to offend anyone.

You're welcome. I don't think you're in any danger of offending anyone with it in LJI -- everyone that's used it that I've seen was doing so playfully, and it's perfectly fine to use it right back at them when they are -- but just in case you see it elsewhere, now you know the difference. :) I think we're mostly just saying "n00b" because of the topic -- 1337 and n00b and 5ki11z0rz/5ki11z tend to be the most popular words out of leet-speak. ;)
