Something you might want to think about is why you want to engage in each of the activities that you have on your wishlist.

What do you hope to accomplish by exploring?
Why do you want to be a designer?
Why would you want more tattoos?

I'm not saying they're bad goals, I'm just saying that you shouldn't just make up goals willy nilly without a reason. If you want to run around pell-mell and inject you body with a bunch of ink because you're feeling trapped and you think you're not hip, then you might just end up like all those way-too-old hipsters that you were just talking about.
For me, I'm at a point where I'm really looking for a center. I don't want to just jump into situations and scenes anymore, I want to do what I do for a reason. Let reason guide your life, don't just let your emotions and race-thought direct you. Creativity comes from emotions, but the first rule an artist must realize is that they have to let their creativity come under the control of reason.
