The problem with SATC

When SATC first started out, it was a funny, slightly irreverent show about single women in NYC.  I watched (I think) the first couple of episodes (along with a couple here and there in between) and found them funny, discussing the woes of 30-something single women looking for love.  The show advised women to take their own happiness in their ( Read more... )

I think people who allow TV shows to influence them are weak-minded to begin with, therefore their relationship and life choices will also be weak.

Ex-gf loves it and had the whole collection, so I watched a couple of episodes when she did so as well.

Maybe they should screen a precautionary trailer before each episode yah?

Perhaps run one of Singapore's 1990s "Moral Education" style videos.

That should teach them! Hahaha

I've not seen a single episode and don't really want to. Esp not when I stopped reading women's mags also.

I'd love to have my meals paid for, be ferried home after every date, blow my own salary on manly gadgets, and still delude myself into believing that such a lifestyle is a RIGHT, not a privilege.

Worse: and expect the other partner to shower you with said manly gadgets as though it's a god-given right.

Somehow it seems as though a lot of girls overrate their own attributes and as a consequence think they should be asking for the moon.
