I have just received an email offering me the job of stage manager on the summer show again in 2008. It's 5.30 AM and I still haven't slept, though not for lack of trying - I went to bed at 9 PM. I don't dare go to work because I'm probably gonna be a zombie.

I've invited my family for New Years. It was actually my brother's idea, and  can see his point. There won't be fireworks to enjoy at my folks' countryside home what with the place only being a small village, whereas I have first row view for everything our city will send up. This morning at 5 AM I met a man in the elevator. And ohhhh he was attractive. Neatly dressed, suit and tie as far as I could tell, and mm mm mmmm, we exchanged a few comments, and that was that. I was channel browsing and ran into the end of a program about the non-lethal weapons the police (the US, mind you) have at their disposal. The officer who introduced the taser called a 'godsent' and said that it had saved them so much trouble. Last night was the night of our general election. My party (socialist people's party) more than doubled their amount of seats in parliament, but we still have a right wing government.
