But the moment the beat kicked up that all fell away. Drew was completely lost in each and every song, actually found himself looking to Jemma as he sang.
It was exhilarating.
The set ended quickly, or at least that's the way it always felt. After they packed up their things, clearing the stage for the next group, he set out into the wide crowd in search of Jemma. It took a while longer than he wanted it too, getting pulled aside by groups of girls gushing over their latest song or pulling him in for a picture.
Finally he saw her, their eyes meeting in a very cliche way across the bar, and he smiled.

He was talented- good and incredibly sexy when he was up on that stage, the way his arms moved across his guitar exciting her in ways she'd never admit aloud.
"Well, aren't you quite the rock star-" she mused, her voice a little louder as she reached him in the middle of the room.

The moment he reached her, he pulled her in, one hand on the small of her back and the other in her hair, and he kissed her.
"Did you like the set?" he asked, pulling back but just barely.

She pressed her lips together, trying to prevent herself from grinning like the giddy idiot she felt like, nodding her head.
"I did-" she said, pressing her hands flat against his chest. "I can't believe you were holding out on me, Kirke. You're really good-"
