What's It Gonna Be? [closed]

St. Mungo's was buzzing in a way Jemma hadn't seen in a long time. But then, it wasn't every day a Muggle was taken into the magical hospital, and it certainly wasn't every day it was due to a bloody werewolf attack. She couldn't imagine how helpless Rowan must have felt. Even a powerful wizard would be struggling, she knew. Jemma had no idea how ( Read more... )

There really wasn't anything more important to Drew than his family, knowing just how much they relied on each other, especially after his father had passed away. His Uncle Sebastian had truly become the father figure that Andrew and Max needed in their lives, not even taking a pause when it came to father-son activities and making sure his nephews felt just as included and welcomed as Jonah did. She didn't argue with him.

Truth be told, she didn't really want to do this alone. No matter how much she'd be alright with it if he were to stay with his aunt, she needed him here with her. And if he wanted to stay, well, she was going to be that much more grateful.

"Alright-" she said, pressing a firm kiss to his cheek.

Once they reached the Birthing Ward, a young Healer took their name before rushing off to find Hestia. Jemma had seen the papers, had known was what going on, but she'd never have been prepared for how harried Hestia looked when she approached them.

Drew glanced back down at Jemma, pulling a smile onto his own expression- though it wasn't nearly as easy or excited as it should have been.

There was a small pang of guilt, something twisting up his stomach, knowing that this should have been their day. He just had other things on his mind.

"Yes, ready," he said, looking back over at Hestia.

Hestia offered them both a small, warm smile and it instantly soothed Jemma's nerves. It was a wonder she could do that, always finding a way to relax her during their appointments. She gestured her head toward the white curtain behind them, letting them pass through into the patient room.

Jemma knew the routine by now, positioning herself on the table, her legs swinging over the edge.

"We'll just check a few of your vitals, see how your heart rate and blood sugar are and then we'll be able to see the gender!"

She smiled, nodding, waiting as Hestia checked her pulse.

She glanced at Drew with a hopeful look, knowing she'd owe him big time for dragging him away from his family for this.
