It was actually worth all of the teasing from Jonah and Jack for how much time he now found himself in front of the mirror, noticing for the first time the way that his hair fell and that shirts actually could wrinkle if you left them crumbled up at the foot of your bed for too long.
Suddenly, he cared about all that stuff.
Especially tonight, the two of them sneaking off to take a long walk and hope that Snape wouldn't catch them.
"Jemma, you're early-" he said, grinning as he stepped out of the Gryffindor Common Room.

And if she was hanging out with Drew tonight, she wanted to make sure she was perfectly on time.
"Oh, I just got here," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "I wasn't waiting long at all."

He thought that maybe he had lost track of time again, putting too much hair gel in his hair and having to wash it all out just to start the entire process over again. He would never forgive Arya for teasing him about how flat and floppy his hair could be, teasing him about Jemma wanting to run her fingers through it.
Now it was really all he could think about when they were together.
"Let's go down the south hall, there shouldn't be anyone down there this time of night-"

She pressed her lips together.
