When you kill a spider the left over bits expand, and turn into more, bigger spiders.

The only safe way to get rid of a spider is to eat it.

Gareth, I have to say, usually I do use fire... and lots of it, but have never eaten them in their charcoal state. What do you think of Farmer's suggestion?!

a spider? in our room? i'm glad you dealt with it severely. it should know now that it ought not to mess with Jemma Whyte!!!! hahahaha! although...you SHOULD have done this: captured it in a Coke bottle, set it next to a radio playing Britney Spears songs for three and a half days, shown it some spider-porno movies, burned its 8 feet and then...ONLY then...eaten it with ketchup and tarter sauce.
that would've gotten rid of it.
