I hate them. I think of every reason why we cannot go. I even hate giving my kid a birthday party that friends are invited to. Maybe it is how I was raised - birthdays are to be enjoyed with family.

I don't really like them. But it really has to do with how old the kids are, how many kids there will be, where will it be...In my experiance usually the kids are/get so...well, pushing limits lots more in those situations and the parents often let them get away with tons more too.
