Sorry for severe LJage today.
*sigh*
I relaly hope my new boss is a better guy than my current boss. My current boss is really a clueless asshat. I have to attempt late registration on Monday, so I will be late to work, I think. So I went to tell my current boss this. Then I casually asked if he'd mentioned the fact that I am going to school to the new boss. Of course not. He says that doesn't affect the sale at all, so therefore it's not something that needs to come up until after the sale is final.
To back up and give some history that I don't think I've actually posted in LJ, the decision to fire our current office manager (often referred to by me as OM, she tends to make life difficult for me) was announced earlier this week. She will be here at least another week, if not two. The implications of that are that that leaves me at the only billing person here. The only one who understands how we bill customers, the only one who understands our books. Even though that part I am learning. So... doesn't that make me kind of important? So... what happens to the bookkeeper position, who takes over what, how the transition is handled etc is not important enough to talk about until after the sale?
My current CEO has no idea really about what customers want and need. He lives in his office with his tunnel vision and is clueless. I think that will mean I can inform the new CEO how things really are. But, if I don't get to talk to him until the sale is final etc etc, that means I don't get to talk to him until Aug 29th. Aside from that meaning that I have no official plan for what happens to ME in all of this, I start school the 29th. So, basically I can inform him of the fact that I have to go to school... on the day I start. WTF? How on earth will that work?
And still I get from Tim that it doesn't matter and what that means is that I guess it doesn't matter what happens with billing. Cause of course understanding the source of income for a business is not critical at all. *sigh* Its really frustrating to be told that. And I really hate not having a plan. This could be SO good for me, but it could also mean me packing my bags soon after new CEO starts. I can't get excited until I know more for sure.
One thing current CEO mentioned is that it might be possible that the new guy won't be ok with my going to school and that he'd hire someone else and have me train this new person... fuck that. I am NOT training someone else how to do this only to be pushed out the door. No way.
