Thanks for sharing this Jen. I didn't realize LJ was Russian-owned until all the drama started. It's an interesting conundrum.

I didn't know anything about it until quasiexistant/Martina posted it earlier. So I guess my annoyance with LJ wasn't LJ being dumb, but people trying to shut up one of the good guys. *sigh* Now I'm all annoyed with the Russian government, both for attacking that guy and us.

I didn't either until I found this posted on a friend's page. I didn't even know what DDoS was until I looked it up. I just hate that censorship has to carry over so strongly into trying to destroy things for everyone.
