I already have some corrections in the new year =p It had occured to me that I had read some but not all of the liner notes for the H2G2, and I found that Dirk Maggs [who had a huge hand in the resurrection of the broadcast] said Adams had hinted that maybe he had more adventures for Arthur et al.--which sounds really strange. Triangle:
Stick a point at the center (I'm assuming it's equilateral here), then draw three rays out from that point 120 degrees from one another. No matter how you do this, you'll get 3 congruent sections (so you could get 3 long flat isosceles triangles, or 3 kite shapes by going to the middle of the edges, or anything in between)
L-shape:
Hard to describe, but it breaks into 4 similar half-sized L shapes, one in the center and the other three surrounding it.
Square:
Use 4 parallel lines to section it into 5 skinny rectangles. Is there another way to do this?
Letters:
...Okay, I cheated and used an anagram program, but "barf puke vomit" seems to be the intended answer here.
